Migration of IT infrastructure and replacement of old active devices

October, 2025
One of Europe's largest manufacturers was struggling with outdated network infrastructure that was unable to meet the demands of modern industry.
CUSTOMER’S PROBLEM

The equipment used in its plants (including switches and access points) was unreliable, leading to production downtime, real financial losses and damage to the company’s image.

The main goal of the cooperation was to replace active devices with modern Cisco 9000 series models. However, the customer clearly stated that the migration must take place without any downtime in the company’s operations. The transition to the new infrastructure was to be smooth and seamless, so that users could return to their regular duties on Monday.

OUR SOLUTION

With the bar set high, we started with a thorough audit and planning of all activities (including preliminary configuration and preparation of components).

To ensure that the work would run smoothly, we entrusted the implementation to a group of experts (network engineers, technicians and coordinators) who had experience in such complex projects.

The work was not to affect the company’s current operations. Therefore, the migration was planned for the weekend and included: replacement of equipment, its configuration (prepared in advance) and testing (to verify the correctness of the implementation and introduce any necessary modifications).

The work was a complete success. The implementation went smoothly and took place within the designated ‘time window’. The client gained a new and scalable infrastructure that improved the efficiency of their organisation.
