CUSTOMER PROBLEM

Part of the computer network located in the educational establishment stopped connecting to the world, making it impossible to continue operations.

OUR SOLUTION

Paradoxically, the solution to this problem turned out to be trivially simple and, most importantly, was literally within our customer’s reach. For the culprit of all the fuss was… a suspended switch, which simply had to be reset.

Only part of the network was not responding, so we knew it couldn’t be the device that all the workstations were plugged into.

Our engineer went to the site where he quickly located (hidden behind a cupboard) – an unauthorised switch, which was also rebooted.

Finally, we instructed the customer on such devices and how to restart them. We also pointed out the need to extend the logical network, in order to avoid this type of situation in the future.
